This grow board is the ultimate answer for larger yields and ease of use. 300 watts of true power, (450 watt rated 150 x 3w LED's). Superior 11 Band Spectrum 380nm(UV) x4 /. 850nm (IR) x2 / White 6500k x14.Very discreet - Practically no thermal footprint. 80% more energy efficient than MH or HPS. Very cool running temps - No additional cooling equipment needed. Operating temperature -20c to +50c. Diamond Series 90° lenses for maximum canopy penetration.
Suited to any indoor growing method - Hydroponics, Aeroponics, Soil. Recommended area 120cms x 120cms. Our new lens design gives this unit an even further increase to its PAR output reading giving an increase of approximately 200 micro-mole when checked using our Quantum meter compared to older lens-less boards. According to Texas A&M University, infrared light plays a part in the blooming of flowering plants.
Plants grown indoors may grow well under fluorescent lights, but will not bloom well until appropriate levels of infrared radiation have been introduced. This is why we have added some 850nm LED's to this pro panel.
According to Planta, increased infrared waves can affect the speed at which plant stems grow. A short exposure to far infrared light increased the space between nodes when the exposure occurred at the end of an eight-hour light period.Exposing the plant to ordinary red light reversed this effect. A combination of far red and red light produced the longest inter nodes. Plants grown in light that is too red may seem spindly and long-stemmed. How Does UV Light Effect Plants? To answer that, we need to investigate how UV light affects plants cells. Ultra-violet radiation, particularly UVB, has been shown to be detrimental to plant cell function. UV causes damage to plant cells in the same way it tears through your skin, eventually causing sunburn. As a result of this damage, all plants have created defenses against UV in the form of gene UVR8. UVR8 is a protein molecule which senses UV all by itself, and then "tells" plant cells to change their behavior. Exactly how UVR8 molecules sense UV was recently discovered and is pretty interesting.
UVR8 is what chemists call a dimer. Which just means that it's made of two structurally similar protein subunits. When UV light hits the two protein subunits in UVR8, their charge weakens and they break apart. To help visualize this, imagine rubbing two balloons against one another. The balloons will stick together because of a static charge. Now imagine the balloons get rained on. The water takes the static charge with it and the two balloons fly apart. In this example, the balloons are the two protein subunits and the rain is UV light cascading down on the plant cell. After the protein subunits break apart, they head to the cell nucleus to deliver their information. Many of our customers reported that there was a lack of white on most LED boards available, and because of this they needed to supplement their lighting set up with CFL's. We have answered this request by having some true 6500k white 3w diodes fitted to our latest DS300 Panel. 6500k White gives a little bit of every other colour in the visible spectrum, meaning that chlorophyll is efficiently absorbed for a healthy plant and maximises yields.
660nm-630nm-615nm-740nm-6500k white This channel is mainly for flowering and fruiting. All 150 LED's Full 11 Band (recommended).
